Excellent Considerate Constructor’s Scheme performance for Hills Homes site manager

Considerate Constructor's Scheme

Site manager, Karl Kaljusko, has been acknowledged for the excellent way he manages his building site with the presentation of a Performance Beyond Compliance certificate from the national Considerate Constructor’s Scheme (CCS).

Karl manages the Hills Homes Developments site at Station Meadows in Calne, Wiltshire, where 101 new homes have been built recently. The site has proved very popular with local buyers and only three apartments remain for sale.

Karl said: “I was really proud to learn that the CSS assessment of my site had resulted in such good scores in each of the five categories assessed. It is gratifying to be acknowledged in this way as a lot of work goes into maintaining such high standards.”

The CCS assesses construction sites on the following five categories in the Scheme’s Code of Considerate Practice: Site appearance, respect the community, protect the environment, secure everyone’s safety, and value the workforce.

Sites are not only assessed for compliance, but also to identify measures taken which are above and beyond these requirements, with a score of 10 in each section being the highest achievable.

John Doody, production manager for Hills Homes, said: “Hills registers all its construction sites with the CCS and our site managers work hard to perform beyond statutory requirements and support the call to improve the image of construction.”

Hills Homes has established a strong reputation for building high quality homes on carefully selected sites. From bespoke country homes on the edge of sought after villages to major urban developments, Hills brings individuals quality to each of their developments.
